2003 GMC 3500 rear fuel tank won't pump

My father and I got a steal on this truck in early spring and we've slowly picked away at the ***** list and have it mostly squared away except for the rear fuel tank doesn't pump fuel in the front tank(obviously the gas gave don't work right either). We scoured the web looking for info and finally found some good info on testing the secondary fuel tank relay, PCM(or ECM depending on the source) and so on. The PCM fuse is good, the relay clicks only if you use a jumper of the wire that runs from the secondary tank relay to the PCM(which the computer is supposed to do its self as the rear pump only runs when it's called to transfer fuel to the main tank from what I've been told). That leaves us with the fuel pump in the rear tank is junk or the, yikes, PCM gave up to the gray ghost I think, we've haven't found any damaged wire. We ran a hot wire directly to the rear fuel pump and it didn't turn on but since it runs only sometimes when it's told to by the computer I'm not 100% sure it's dead, nor am I 100% sure the PCM is dead. I am 100% sure the local chevy garage won't get a 2nd chance to fix it because they charge $680 to "look" at it and didn't figure anything out. Please help, our '98 had a simpler issue and a lot of people with 2 tank GM 1 tons have had issues that I know about but they all had the money to have the dealer fix it and don't really know what was wrong.

Looking to convert to spreaders with pre-wet systems. Trying to cut salt consumption. Most spreader and liquid suppliers say 20-40% savings with pre-wet. Want to hear from someone with first hand experience. Any insight from anyone that has run a 8500, 9300, or 9300X is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Still trying to update my private use plow before winter. Never owned a dodge truck, but drove them in the military in early 80's.

2001 129K 5.9 Ram. Good, bad etc?

Read alot of bad on front ends, transmission, brakes, computer and electrical issues. Are they really that bad?
Reading folks reviews has me rethinking test driving it even.

Bobcat and Doosan open Acceleration Center for advanced innovation in design, testing and training

Completion of $28 million renovation project will help speed the design and development of products to meet customers’ growing needs

(BISMARCK, N.D. — August 2014) Bobcat Company and Doosan recently opened the doors to their new Acceleration Center, ushering in a generation of advanced product innovation and accelerated learning to benefit customers, dealers and employees worldwide.

The facility — located within Bismarck, North Dakota’s Northern Plains Commerce Centre — will be home to 175 individuals tasked with initial design, prototype engineering, prototype manufacturing, computer simulation and testing of ideas and concepts. The Acceleration Center becomes a key engineering facility for all Bobcat® compact equipment distributed globally, and it will help serve some of Doosan heavy equipment’s research and development needs for the North American market.

The $28 million project involved expansion of an existing building to include office and lab space, classrooms and demonstration areas, and both indoor and outdoor machine operation areas. The facility has two stories and 190,000 square feet under roof, with an additional 22 acres of outside test and product development space. A collaborative open office environment is equipped with modern devices, tools and software systems that expedite leading-edge engineering, and product and process development.

A dedication ceremony and open house on August 5 featured remarks from Rich Goldsbury, president of Bobcat Company and Doosan, North America; North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple; U.S. Sen. John Hoeven; U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer and Bismarck Mayor Mike Seminary.

The Acceleration Center’s grand opening came just a month after Bobcat Company celebrated its millionth-loader milestone — a celebration that was themed “Unstoppable.” Bobcat reached 500,000 loaders in 2001 and 750,000 in 2008; now one million Bobcat loaders just six years later.

“We have momentum,” Goldsbury said. “We are investing in our innovations and technologies, and in our facilities and our people. That’s what this particular facility is all about: momentum and acceleration. Bobcat will continue to be an unstoppable force in the industry, and Doosan will continue to grow into a premier heavy equipment brand in the North American market.”

The company broke ground on the Acceleration Center project in May 2013. The entire project — including the original building built in 2005 — capped a total $43 million investment by Bobcat and Doosan in the Northern Plains Commerce Centre in Bismarck. Bobcat Company also has an attachments production facility in Bismarck, and its manufacturing, production control and logistics group has been there since 2012.

“We built the compact equipment industry and continue to set standards, and reach milestones no other manufacturer can match — and that was all accomplished right here in North Dakota,” Goldsbury said. “We are very proud to call North Dakota home, and we’re proud to continue growing our engineering and innovation foundation in Bismarck.”

Would like to know what the thoughts are of these setups to pre-wet salt and if it saves the 30% give or take that they claim. We are strongly considering setting up 1 to 3 of our trucks. Looking at the 8500, 9300, or 9300X. Appreciate any insight you can share.
